Minor Alteration No. WA2026133 Wave Wash Repair on NA0010 Unit No. 5 East Side Bypass Project

To repair approximately 4.2 miles of waterside slope erosion along the Eastside Bypass, consistent with the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manual, Lower San Joaquin River Flood Control Project Part 1. The proposed work includes removing existing plastic, twine, sandbags, and stakes from the erosion area, excavating approximately level benches in the waterside slope of the levee, placing and compacting native and imported material on the benches, grading the compacted fill back to the original slope, placing riprap over the repair area, and resurfacing the levee patrol road used for the haul route with compacted aggregate base. The project will repair erosion of the waterside levee slope due to wave wash and restore the levee to its original function and geometry.
