CylinderThe contract requires the supply of a heavy-duty industrial hydraulic cylinder with a 14-inch bore and a 36-inch stroke, equipped with a 7-inch diameter chrome-plated rod that is induction hardened for durability and corrosion resistance. The cylinder must feature a front flange mounting configuration compatible with standard 14-inch bore industrial dimensions and be capable of continuous operation at a working pressure of 3,000 PSI, designed with industry-standard safety factors. It will be constructed for harsh environments, suitable for indoor or outdoor use with exposure to dust and moisture, and compatible with phosphate ester hydraulic fluids through all seals and elastomeric components. The cylinder will have a non-cushioned design at both ends, and ports sized appropriately for high-pressure hydraulic operation, with connection types defined during design review. Performance-wise, the cylinder must operate at full stroke and full pressure without deformation or leakage, and both rod and cap ends must be rated for the full operating pressure. The rod end connection type will be finalized during design review, allowing for threaded, clevis, or spherical bearing attachments. Each unit is to be pressure tested to at least 1.5 times the rated working pressure before shipment, and must meet stringent leakage criteria. Maintenance considerations include seal replacement and rod serviceability with standard shop tools, with the vendor providing seal kits and maintenance guidelines. Documentation will include detailed dimensional drawings and certification of pressure rating and fluid compatibility. This contract is a total small business set-aside, solicited by the Department of Defense at Fort Drum, NY, with responses due by June 11, 2026.

This contract covers the supply of four units of a highly regulated Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) critical part, specifically the piston rod tension cylinder assembly identified by NSN 1720-00-479-3935. All items must be serialized and marked in strict compliance with MIL-STD-129 and the technical data drawings provided to ensure traceability from manufacturing through delivery. Serialization, packaging traceability, and prohibition of any re-branding that obscures original OEM markings are mandatory requirements. The contract explicitly forbids the use of Class I ozone-depleting chemicals and mercury unless specifically exempted for functional purposes. Surplus material is not acceptable, and all supplies must meet the quality standards set forth in SAE AS9100, with inspection and acceptance conducted at origin. Only approved sources certified by the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC) Aircraft Division at Lakehurst are eligible to fulfill this contract, requiring proof of source approval or an approved source approval letter. The contract also mandates compliance with cybersecurity certifications (CMMC Level 2) and export control regulations under ITAR and EAR, restricting technical data sharing without prior government authorization. Packaging must include lot and serial numbers alongside contractor and manufacturer cage codes, with any configuration changes subject to government review and approval. Delivery is anticipated within 394 days, and all contractor documentation and product markings must align fully with government engineering and quality control requirements to ensure proper handling, security, and traceability of this restricted and critical aerospace component.

General Info

Supply four serialized ALRE piston rod assemblies, meeting MIL-STD-129, SAE AS9100, CMMC Level 2, ITAR compliance.
