Full Description

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in support of the Laboratory of Viral Diseases (LVD) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition for a Illumina Inc. (5200 Illumina Way San Diego, CA 9212-1975) MiSeq Comprehensive Service Agreement, S/N M02211 with a base year service agreement to include two (2) one (1) year options. The period of performance for the Base Year is as follows; 9/30/15-9/29/16. The period of performance for Option Year One (1) 9/30/16-9/29/17, and the period of performance for Option Year Two (2) is a follows; 9/30/17-9/29/18. This Service Agreement is a part of an existing piece of equipment on the Illumina Inc, MiSeq System. Illumina is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the MiSeq system and is the only known source that can provide and install these accessories without voiding the warranty and the operational integrity of the equipment. This is not a request for proposal. Changing service providers at this time could introduce variables that may negatively affect the current project. The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 25(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available, no substitutions possible. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE NOT BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. All responsible sources may submit a response that will be considered. The Government reserves the right to make a decision whether this requirement is available for competition. All responses shall be submitted no later than 3:00p.m. Eastern Standard Time Monday, July 6, 2015 to Jennifer Burke at Jennifer.burke2@nih.gov.
