Full Description

The Missile Defense Agency intends to issue a sole source contract modification to extend MDA's current Missile Defense Data Center (MDDC) Program contract, W9113M-05-D-0003, to Gray Research, Inc., located in Huntsville, Alabama. The modification will consist of a six-month period of performance extension. This action is required to maintain continuity of operations and avoid disruption of critical support, providing time to compete the effort and transition to the resultant contract. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541712, Research and Development in Physical, Engineering and Life Sciences, with corresponding small business size standard 1,000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements". The government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in responding to this notice. The follow on acquisition is being solicited under Request for Proposal package HQ0147-10-R-0030.
