Model Validation Automation Technologies

Export Development Canada has issued Request for Information RFI 26-133 to explore the market for technologies, platforms, and services capable of automating and enhancing the model validation process. This exploratory solicitation focuses on solutions utilizing Generative AI, Agentic AI, workflow automation, and document intelligence to support the entire validation lifecycle, including planning, evidence review, test execution, finding identification, report drafting, and ongoing model risk governance. The scope covers a diverse portfolio of financial and non-financial models, such as credit risk, AI/ML, ESG, and financial crime. This RFI is non-binding and does not constitute a commitment to purchase or a request for pricing; instead, it is intended to inform a future Request for Proposals expected around July 2027. Because the agency operates in a regulated financial environment, there is a heavy emphasis on security, confidentiality, and auditability. Respondents must detail their capabilities regarding data residency, encryption, and the management of AI-specific risks such as hallucinations, data leakage, and prompt injection.
