This contract is for the procurement of Marine Hardware and Hull Modification Kits, specifically identified by NSN 2040-01-506-5518. The requirement includes a base quantity of 2,021 kits with an option for an additional 2,021 units, totaling 4,042 kits. The delivery schedule is set for 133 days with FOB Destination terms. Due to a lack of complete technical data, the government intends to contract only with approved sources, specifically Juniper Elbow Co. Inc. Strict environmental regulations apply, prohibiting the use of Class I ozone-depleting chemicals and the intentional addition of mercury or mercury-containing compounds, with limited exceptions for specific functional components. The procurement process may involve an anonymous online reverse auction to determine final pricing. While price is a significant factor, the final award decision will be based on a combination of price, delivery, and past performance.
