Full Description

This requirement will be awarded to (1) one small-business vendor. The Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) has an Emergency requirement for the purchase of APC Modular Battery Replacement Service for the SYMMETRA PX 40KW FRAME 208V Units in both the DCAA Fort Belvoir, VA and DCAA Millington, TN Data Centers to support current aging and failed batteries. Currently, DCAA's SYMMETRA infrastructure batteries are 5+ years old and are end of life. Many of the batteries will no longer hold any charge and on 2 occasions caused complete power failure in our Data Centers during a power outage. The SYMMETRA infrastructure provides battery power to the Data Center environment, bridging the time delay between commercial power loss and building generator activation. The Data Centers provide all system support to the entire Agency Mission Critical applications. Requirement includes delivery of new batteries, installation of new batteries, and disposal of old batteries. Please include battery warranty information.
