Modular Meal Tray Assembly System

This solicitation is for the procurement of a modular meal tray assembly system designed to streamline the flow of meal trays from hot food service to cold food assembly at the American Lake VAMC in Tacoma, Washington. The system must accommodate no more than three employees and fit within a workspace of approximately 200 inches by 150 inches. Required components include two mobile gravity shelf carts with divider bars, anti-falling devices, and storage bins; two air curtain glass door pass-thru refrigerators with five trays each; two mobile tray and rack dispensers capable of holding at least 100 trays across five racks; two mobile slider tables with sliding rails and connector pieces; one six-well hot food server with menu holders and pan adaptors; and a starter kit. All equipment must be constructed with stainless steel type 304, meet NSF and FDA standards, and be installed with integration of existing Dinex Activator and Victory Food warmer units. The contractor is also responsible for removing outdated conveyor and power strip infrastructure, performing pre-installation electrical work, conducting a pre-shipment site consultation, and delivering 4 hours of virtual training, 8 hours of on-site pre-install services, and 20 hours of on-site go-live support. The procurement is a firm-fixed price purchase order issued under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12 and is 100% set aside for small businesses as defined by NAICS code 333310 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Offers must be submitted on Standard Form 1449 along with a completed Price/Cost Schedule, documentation proving compliance with all salient characteristics, and the company’s UEI number from SAM.gov.
