Full Description

Pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), the United States Navy's Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a sole-source modification to Contract N00024-16C-4024 with DRS Marlo Coil to provide four (4) production and four (4) spare 1.5 Ton Modular Refrigeration Systems (MRS) for the NIMITIZ Class (CVN) Aircraft Carriers meeting MIL STD-461, MIL-STD-901D, and MIL-STD-1399. DRS Marlo Coil is the only source with the requisite technical certifications necessary to meet the Government's schedule constraints without significant risk to the Navy. The Government requires initial delivery of qualified units within the next 12 months in order to meet ship maintenance and repair schedules. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. This pre-solicitation notice is for information only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to solicit contractual offers or award contracts. The Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept, proposals as a result of this synopsis. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any questions submitted or information provided as a result of this notice. This is not a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation and this information is subject to modification and in no way binds the Government to award a contract.
