Mokelumne Hill Sanitary District, Wastewater System Improvements Project

The Mokelumne Hill Sanitary District Wastewater System Improvements project involves the replacement of underground wastewater systems and associated facilities in Calaveras County, California. The scope of work is limited to the installation of approximately 1,270 linear feet of 4-inch and 6-inch diameter sewer mains using open-cut trenching and boring. The project is divided into two separate work areas located on unnamed tributaries to the Mokelumne River, known as Ephemeral Drainages. The first site, ED1a, is located off Center Street north of Garden Lane (APN 018-002-025-000), and the second site, ED3, is located south of Maretta Lane and north of State Route 26 (APN 018-012-005-000). This project is governed by Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number CAL-59427-R2, executed by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife acted as the Responsible Agency and determined that the project would not have a significant environmental effect, provided that specific mitigation measures are implemented as conditions of approval. The project is associated with State Clearinghouse Number 2022040154 and is managed by the Mokelumne Hill Sanitary District as the Lead Agency.
