Full Description

The United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Bridger Plant Materials Center (BPMC), located at 98 South River Road in Bridger, Carbon County, Montana, is a 150-acre research facility and farm located in rural south-central Montana. The BPMC has produced foundation grade seed for commercial seed growers and other end-users for over 50 years. Since early 2015, the BPMC staff has declined from 6.6 FTEs to 2 (current) primarily because of retirements and limitations on NRCS' ability to rehire vacant positions over the past few years. Because of these staffing reductions, and to preserve established fields and meet seed production goals and demand, it is necessary to contract for services to meet plant growth requirements, seed production, and program deadlines. This contract will expire on December 31, 2018, there are four option years subject to the availability of funds
