The City of Morgan Hill (“City”), will accept sealed bids for its Council Chamber Roof Replacement Project (“Project”), by or before Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., at CITY HALL-DEVELOPMENT SERVICES CENTER, located at 17575 PEAK AVENUE MORGAN HILL, California, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Project is located at the Morgan Hill Council Chamber Building – 17555 Peak Avenue, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, and is described as follows: The removal and replacement of approximately 18,000 SF of roof including clay tiles, roofing squares, underlayment, sheet metal and accessories. The Project must be fully completed within 45 calendar days from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. City anticipates that the Work will begin in July 2025, but the anticipated start date is provided solely for convenience and is neither certain nor binding. Required License. This Project requires a valid California Contractor’s State Licensing Board (CSLB) contractor’s license for the following classification(s): C-39 Roofing contractor OR B General Building contractor with C-39 subcontractor. 3.2 DIR Registration. City will not accept a Bid Proposal from or enter into the Contract with a bidder, without proof that the bidder and its Subcontractors are registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (“DIR”) to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5, subject to limited legal exceptions. The specifications, bid forms and contract documents for the Project, any addenda, thereto, may be obtained at the City of Morgan Hill website or Public Purchase at www.publicpurchase.com Pursuant to California Labor Code Section 1720 et seq., this Project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements applicable to the locality in which the Work is to be performed for each craft, classification or type of worker needed to perform the Work, including employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, apprenticeship and similar purposes. Mandatory Bidders’ Conference and Job Walk.
