The contract concerns the procurement of 28 units of an alternating current motor (NSN 6105-00-484-1890) from an approved source, ONTIC ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING, INC. While the base quantity is set at 28 units, the solicitation requests price breaks for quantities ranging from 25 to 40 units, divided into several tiers. The acquisition is conducted under a firm fixed price (FFP) arrangement through Other Than Full and Open Competition using FAR 6.302(c)(1), with a delivery requirement of 473 days. The motors will be shipped to a government stock location at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, with FOB Origin and First Destination Transportation (FDT) terms applying. Inspections and acceptance will likely be performed in coordination with government officials, though the exact inspection location is not definitively stated. Pricing evaluations will consider a combination of factors including cost, delivery schedule, past performance, and small business participation, although the solicitation explicitly excludes the use of the Reverse Auction provision. Solicitation documents will be issued electronically via the DIBBS website around June 23, 2026, with responses due by July 24, 2026. While this acquisition is positioned primarily as a commercial item procurement, the government is open to receiving information from interested parties that can supply equivalent commercial items within 15 days of the notice. Vendor submissions must include technical data, current price lists, recent invoices, and appropriate representations such as SAM registration and company size status. The procurement references DLAD Procurement Notes to govern evaluation criteria and source selection, with compliance to federal acquisition regulations and standards governing commercial item acquisitions. No special contract clauses or unique contract requirements—such as security clearances or organizational conflict of interest provisions—are explicitly included. The primary government contact for inquiries is Angie Hernandez at DLA Land and Maritime in Columbus, Ohio.
