Commodity or Service Required: Purchase of Motorola Radio Annual Maintenance, Repair & Subscriber Programming Services Description: Lee County Public Safety is seeking to execute a single source purchase for the annual maintenance, repair, and subscriber programming services required to maintain and operate the County’s existing radio fleet on the Government Communications Network (GCN). Lee County Public Safety currently maintains more than 6,800 radios operating on the GCN. This purchase is intended to maintain and support the existing equipment and is not for the replacement, retrofit, or conversion of the County’s current radio fleet. The purchase includes the repair of damaged equipment, applicable software and feature updates, and warranty repair or replacement when damage is covered under the applicable manufacturer warranty. Intended Single Source: Motorola Solutions, Inc. Justification for Single Source Acquisition: Motorola Solutions, Inc. is the sole vendor authorized and qualified to provide the required maintenance, repair, subscriber programming, and factory-certified modifications or enhancements for the County’s existing Motorola radio towers and equipment. To protect the integrity, functionality, and reliability of the devices and preserve the associated manufacturer warranties, all factory-certified hardware or software modifications, enhancements, updates, and related services must be performed by Motorola Solutions, Inc.
