B--MPI Art Conservation

The contract pertains to the stabilization, conservation, and preservation of a historic carved wood mural located at the Museum of the Plains Indian in Browning, Montana, with the work required to be conducted on-site during the one-week period of July 12 through July 17, 2026. All activities must strictly adhere to professional conservation standards and federal cultural property guidelines, ensuring long-term preservation without altering the artist's original intent. Key tasks include surface cleaning using approved methods and materials, stabilization of cracked or lifting areas, and structural repair of loose components or supports. The contract is a 100 percent small business set-aside under the NAICS code 712110, exclusively available to small business concerns, and requires compliance with the Service Contract Act through submission of a verified certification form. Contract performance is governed by standard work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, and is subject to a potential six-month extension exercisable only by written notice within one day of expiration. Payment will be made electronically via the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Invoice Processing Platform (IPP) within 30 calendar days after receipt of a proper invoice and government acceptance of deliverables. The contractor must develop a detailed payment schedule aligned with deliverables, pending review and approval by the Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer’s Representative.
