Full Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), NAS Patuxent River, MD, awarded a contract modification against N00019-17-C-0036 to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGC-AS), San Diego, CA as originally synopsized under N00019-16-P1-PMA-266-0003, MQ-8C RADAR PROGRAM OF RECORD PHASE II INTEGRATION. This modification includes option CLINs for a total of twelve (12) Radar A-kit installations into the MQ-8C Fire Scout along with three (3) option CLINs for associated travel. Reference additional award notices posted on 15 March 2017, 04 May 2017, and 24 october 2017. This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." A determination by the Government not to compete this effort was solely within the discretion of the Government. This effort is covered under the Class Justification and Approval (CJ&A) number 16-0196 dated 28 March 2016.
