MSC25-001 - Installation of FLUPSY

The City of Morro Bay is overseeing the installation of an 8 by 20 foot Floating Upwelling System (FLUPSY) at the North T-Pier commercial fishing dock, located at 1215 Embarcadero, Suite D, in Morro Bay, California. The project scope is limited to the installation of the FLUPSY system and a corresponding access ladder to connect the system to the dock. No other alterations to the dock space are proposed. To ensure environmental compliance, the system is designed so that water flow is oriented parallel to the shore, and it will not interact with any proximal intertidal habitats. The project is considered ministerial under the city's permitting authority and is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), as it is certified to have no significant environmental impact.
