The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), Code 422 has a requirement to procure lifecycle, modernization, and in-service support services for the MTU family of diesel engines. It is the Government's intention to procure these services on a sole source basis to MTU America located in Novi, Michigan in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, as only MTU America can meet the Government's requirements. NSWCP seeks to award a hybrid Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee and Firm-Fixed-Price, Indefinite-Quantity, Indefinite-Delivery type Contract. The solicitation will be available in electronic format only. This pre-solicitation notice is for information only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to solicit contractual offers or award contracts. The Government is not soliciting nor will it accept proposals as a result of this synopsis. If a competitive solicitation is issued in the future, it will be announced via beta.sam and interested parties must comply with that announcement. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any questions submitted or information provided as a result of this notice. This is not a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation and this information is subject to modification and in no way binds the Government to award a contract.
