Multi-Function Communications and Electronic Warfare (EW) for Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (C-RCIED) Studies

The Office of Naval Research held a classified SECRET workshop entitled - Multi-Function Communications and Electronic Warfare (EW) for Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (C-RCIED) on 11-13 May 2010. The workshop focused on the application of multi-function communication and EW technologies toward C-RCIED operations. As a result of that meeting, ONR intends to issue Purchase Orders in accordance with the procedures in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 entitled - Simplified Acquisition Procedures to the industry participants who attended the meeting to perform studies. The studies will focus on the application of Multi-Function Communication and Electronic Warfare systems toward C-RCIED operations. The period of performance will be no more than three (3) months at $25,000.00 per study. Awardees are required to (1) have attended the Multi-Function Communications and Electronic Warfare (EW) for Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (C-RCIED) workshop; (2) hold a GENSER SECRET clearance; and (3) be experts with demonstrated experience in the implementation of both communication and EW capabilities in a single multi-function architecture.
