The contract involves the repair of two critical components used in the TH-1H helicopter fleet, specifically the Multi-Function Display (MFD) and Signal Data Processor (also known as the Engine Data Concentrator Unit or EDUC). The fleet comprises 28 aircraft, with an estimated annual requirement of 20 units for the MFD and 15 units for the EDUC. The procurement is structured as a one-year basic ordering period, followed by four additional ordering periods, ensuring ongoing support over multiple years. This is a sole-source requirement awarded to Astronautics Corporation of America, based on the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), which justifies exclusive sourcing due to no other suppliers being capable of satisfying the specific needs. The contract emphasizes the importance of strict packaging standards aligned with military standards and international regulations, including proper handling, preservation, and marking procedures, with detailed instructions provided in the associated packaging requirements document. The solicitation, issued by the Department of the Air Force at Robins Air Force Base, includes comprehensive technical and logistical details, with a projected award date in September 2025. All questions regarding the request for proposals must be submitted in writing to the designated contracting officer, with no telephone inquiries accepted. The contract aims to ensure the continued operational readiness of the helicopter fleet by maintaining these specialized components through a reliable, sole-source provider, supported by detailed technical, packaging, and quality assurance requirements outlined in the accompanying documentation.

Repair of the Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) Applicable to the TH-1H Helicopter
Solicitation # FD20602700066
The Department of the Air Force is conducting a market survey via solicitation FD20602700066 to identify potential sources capable of repairing Attitude-Heading Gyroscopes (LCR-92 and LCR-100) for the TH-1H Helicopter. The government is seeking sources with the required repair data, capabilities, and experience to support these specific parts, which are manufactured by Northrop Grumman LITEF GMBH. A critical requirement for all respondents is the possession of existing access and proprietary authority to the Original Equipment Manufacturer technical data. Any replacement materials used during repair must equal or exceed the quality of the original parts. The intended procurement strategy is a five-year Firm Fixed Price contract consisting of a basic period and four ordering periods, with a planned period of performance from January 1, 2028, through December 31, 2033. While the action will not be a small business set-aside, both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this research. This current effort is a Request for Information and not a formal solicitation for proposals; therefore, no contract will be awarded based on the responses to this RFI. Interested parties should provide documentation supporting their capability to meet the requirements to the primary point of contact, Yashica Woods.
