The Ministry of Environment and Parks is establishing the Multi-Use Trail Professionals Services List (MUTPSL) to identify qualified consultants for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of trail networks across British Columbia. This initiative replaces a previous expired list and aligns with updated provincial procurement standards to increase transparency for suppliers. The list will be hosted on BC Bid, allowing various provincial ministries, partner agencies, local governments, and non-profit agreement holders to access a vetted pool of professionals skilled in areas such as stakeholder engagement, machine and hand-built trail construction, and land planning. The initial intake period opens on December 19, 2025, and closes on February 17, 2026, after which the opportunity transitions into an evergreen rolling application process. All applicants, including those from the previous list, will be evaluated based on the same qualification criteria regardless of their submission date. Qualified suppliers will be listed on the online platform, providing them the opportunity to be contacted for professional services related to the province's trail infrastructure and management strategies.
