DLA Aviation intends to award a sole source, indefinite quantity, long-term contract to Eaton Aeroquip LLC for various components, including Quick Disconnect Coupling Assemblies, Grooved Clamp Couplings, and Self-Sealing Valves. These parts are critical safety items used across multiple weapons systems, such as the M-1 Abrams Tank, F-15 Eagle Aircraft, and Black Hawk and HH-60 PAVE Helicopters. The action is justified under FAR 6.302-1 as there is only one responsible source capable of satisfying the agency requirements. The anticipated contract award is set for June 2018, following the expiration of a previous five-year agreement. The new period of performance is expected to span five years, consisting of a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. While the contract will initially cover 26 National Stock Numbers, it may expand to include additional items. The procurement falls under NAICS code 332722 and is structured as a firm-fixed price agreement.
