The Rural Municipality of Corman Park No. 344 (the “R.M.”) invites proposals from qualified law firms to provide municipal legal services on an as-needed basis and/or under an optional retainer arrangement. The successful proponent will provide legal services within the Saskatchewan municipal operating environment and demonstrate strong experience in the following areas: • Human Resources / employment and labour matters • Planning, development, engineering, and land use matters • Bylaw enforcement • Policing services and governance • Finance and taxation • Municipal governance, administrative law, and statutory interpretation The successful proponent will be expected to advise the R.M. under applicable Saskatchewan legislation, including but not limited to: • The Municipalities Act • The Planning and Development Act, 2007 • The Police Act, 1990 • The Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (LAFOIP) • Other provincial statutes, regulations, and bylaws affecting municipal operations.
