Full Description

The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Applications Contracting Office (TAKO), intends to award a follow on contract for the production of the Multiple-Impact Transparent Armor System (MITAS), PN: 3082-170-4000-00 and components to The Protective Group (TPG), 14100 NW 58th Ct., Miami Lakes, FL 33014. This award will be a three (3) year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contract. . The Government will have the option to purchase spare MITAS and components. Inspection and acceptance will be at Origin. Shipments will be FOB Origin to Lexington, KY. The associated NAICS code is 336413 and small business standard is 1000. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
