The U.S. Navy’s Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, is extending a sole-source contract with Teledyne FLIR Defense Inc. for an additional two years to procure SeaStar Safire III, Brite Star II, TacFLIR 380HD, and Maritime 380HD electro-optic sensor systems along with their variants, provisioning spares, test teardown and evaluation services, non-warranty and field repairs, travel, training, engineering support, refurbishments, upgrades, and associated data. The modification transforms the existing indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract into a firm-fixed-price agreement with a remaining value of $36 million, maintaining Teledyne FLIR Defense as the exclusive provider due to the government’s determination that no other source can meet the specific technical and operational requirements. This action is justified under FAR 6.302-1 as the only responsible source capable of fulfilling the government’s needs. All potential contractors may submit capability statements for review, though the government retains full discretion to assess whether competition should be pursued based on those submissions. The solicitation will not be publicly posted on SAM.gov and is accessible only through direct contact with the designated point of contact. Offerors must be actively registered in the System for Award Management and comply with all federal procurement requirements. The response deadline is June 29, 2026, at 6:00 PM Eastern Time, and inquiries should be directed to Phillip Knight at the Navy’s Crane, Indiana office. Performance will be executed primarily at the contractor’s location in Wilsonville, Oregon.
