N041--Ambulance HVAC System With Installation

The Northern Arizona VA Medical Center is conducting market research through a sources sought announcement to identify capable vendors for the installation of rooftop HVAC systems on two emergency ambulances. These HVAC units, which must be equivalent to the Furrion Chill FACR13SA with Heat Strip, will operate on 115V 30-amp shore power to maintain appropriate interior climate control when vehicles are parked, protecting sensitive medical equipment and supplies from temperature extremes. The systems require certified local vendor installation and must comply with multiple safety, efficiency, and quality standards, including UL, CSA, RVIA, ANSI, DOE, and EPA requirements. The HVAC units should feature a rooftop-mounted, RV-style design with a minimum capacity of 13,500 BTU, dual fans for efficient airflow, noise reduction technology, aerodynamic and UV-resistant housing, integrated temperature control, and compatibility with supplemental heating through a heat strip. Responding companies must provide detailed capability statements demonstrating their technical expertise, along with key business information such as company name, contact details, business size designation, and any existing federal contracts. The Government emphasizes that this is a market research effort only and does not obligate contract award or solicitation issuance. The acquisition is intended as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside, with potential for alternate competition if responses from SDVOSBs are insufficient. Vendors interested must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and submit responses by the specified deadline. The contract involves work performed locally in Prescott, AZ, where the ambulances will be delivered to and retrieved from the vendor’s facility post-installation.
