N099--OR Overhead Paging Speaker Redesign

The contract involves upgrading the overhead paging system in the Surgery suite at the Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. The project focuses on replacing 35 outdated speakers with new Rauland 2 X 2 overhead speakers confined strictly within the Operating Rooms to enhance patient confidentiality, improve communication efficiency, and minimize noise disruption on the 2nd floor. The scope includes relocating and upgrading amplifiers, installing system cables and components, providing staff training, conducting testing and certification, and ensuring compliance with VA and federal standards such as NFPA, NEC, and Life Safety Codes. All installation work is to be performed after regular hospital hours to avoid interfering with patient care, and the contractor must provide detailed documentation, training, and rigorous reporting throughout the project. The contractor must demonstrate expertise with Rauland systems, previous VA hospital experience, and full compliance with infection control, life safety, and security requirements. Access to VA information systems or patient health information is prohibited, and all data and records produced during the contract are owned by the government. Strict security protocols are enforced, including immediate reporting of any incidents, with potential liability for data breaches involving sensitive information. Changes to the Statement of Work require authorization from the Contracting Officer.
