N66001-21-Q-6212 - Notice of Intent to Sole Source to R S Microwave

The Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) hereby publicizes its intention to solicit, negotiate, and award a Commercial Firm-Fixed-Price FAR 13 purchase order on a non-competitive basis with R S Microwave of Butler, NJ. This is a new procurement. The requirement is for the purchase of the following supplies: Item 0001: TRIPLEXER P/N: 00153D-1 QTY: 2 Triplexers are required in support of the Ultra Broadband Frequency Extension project. Since the triplexer is required to expand the capability of preexisting diplexer components currently installed on platform, it must be backwards compatible to allow for seamless transition into the system. Only the 00153D-1 triplexer from RS Microwave meets all our technical requirements. Additionally, since the preexisting diplexer components where manufactured by RS Microwave, only the 00153D-1 triplexer has the integration capability necessary to meet the system standards. A determination by the government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the government. However, all responsible sources may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis, and must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising quality, accuracy, and reliability.
