N66001-21-Q-6257 - Notice of Intent to Sole Source to Thales Defense & Security

The Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) hereby publicizes its intention to solicit, negotiate, and award a Non-Commercial Firm-Fixed-Price FAR 13 purchase order on a non-competitive basis with Thales Defense & Security of Clarksburg, MD. This is a new procurement. The requirement is for the purchase of the following supplies: Item 0001: Half Rack Modems P/N: TRC1774-1 QTY: 8 The High Frequency Single Tone Modem (STM being requested will be used to test the STM inside the Tactical Secure Voice Cryptographic Interoperability Specification (TSVCIS) product. Other modems were considered but were found to be either no longer produced or would have to be purchased from a foreign supplier. A determination by the government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the government. However, all responsible sources may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis, and must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising quality, accuracy, and reliability. A copy of the Request for Quote will be made available upon request. The applicable NAICS Code is 334290 'Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing' with a business size standard is 750 Employees.
