Transport Canada (TC) has a requirement for the provision of meeting space in Ottawa, Ontario, to host the National Canadian Marine Advisory Council meeting, every year in the fall, where approximately 500 delegates will attend the opening plenary session and then divide into various meeting rooms to participate in specific meetings of their choice. The CMAC event will take place over 3 days with 1 additional day, on the day before the meeting, for preparation.
Meeting space requirement specifies that we need up to four (4) consecutive weekdays between Monday and Friday every year in November, during the first 3 weeks of November. The first day will be a preparation day for Transport Canada (TC) and the audio-visual teams, no meetings will be held on this day. The specific dates for the event will be decided by the contractor and the project authority no later than 12 months before the event, within that contract year.
All meeting spaces should be in closed rooms, not for security purposes but to limit disturbances as these meetings happen simultaneously.
