The primary purpose of this requirement is the implementation of the MA & PDP CAHPS surveys using the model where MA and PDP contracts contract with CMS-approved vendors for data collection. The work shall also include analyses of the survey results and preparation of Medicare CAHPS Part C and D Star Ratings measures, as well as analysis of the Medicare FFS CAHPS data and production of comparable FFS CAHPS measures for public reporting. Updates and/or modifications that may be needed include those designed to improve the MA and PDP CAHPS survey procedures, potential timeline adjustments, training material reviews and edits, data submission guideline procedures, and other updates and modifications deemed necessary for implementing the surveys, including updating of the Quality Assurance Protocols & Technical Specifications Manual and a plan for approving and re-approving survey vendors.
