Designed for continuous use in the toughest environments, Teguar's waterproof rugged computers are designed for reliable operation in extreme environments and required for use in the AN/SPN-41B all-weather instrument approach guidance system. Teguar's resistive touchscreen PCs are built with a solid aluminum housing that is coated in an anti-corrosion treatment and carries an IP65/NEMA 4x waterproof rating. Each unit features a fanless cooling system, up to 8GB of RAM, and either an Intel Atom or Intel Celeron CPU. Research revealed the Teguar Corporation is a small business that designs, manufactures and distributes their equipment. An online search was conducted and Teguar was the only source found to supply the TR-2920-08 LDC. A prior buy was awarded to Teguar under N00421-18-P- 0023. Without these displays the AN/SPN-41B would be unable to assist in the approach guidance from the ship to the aircraft. The estimated delivery date is 30 December 2022 or sooner, which was determined by the estimated 2-18 week lead time after receipt of order (ARO), depending on stock. No steps are being taken to foster competition at this time. Each rugged computer has been built to withstand wide temperature ranges from -25'C to 55'C (-13'F to 131'F). For added durability, these units meet MIL810F/G & IEC60068-2-27 anti-shock/vibration standards. Teguar's rugged computer solutions are required for 24-hour reliability in extreme working conditions.
