Beginning September 12, 2014, responsibility for the solicitation, source selection, contract award, and post-award management of the Nellis Backshop maintenance contract supporting the 57th Maintenance Group at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, was transferred to the Air Combat Command Acquisition Management & Integration Center (ACC AMIC) at Langley AFB, Virginia. The 99th Contracting Squadron (99 CONS) no longer serves as the point of contact for this new acquisition phase, though it continues to administer the existing contract FA4861-08-C-C001. The new solicitation, identified as FA4890-14-R-0025, replaces the previous notice and all relevant documents, including a revised Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) and appendices dated September 19, 2014, along with the current contract Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and updated project milestones, have been posted to the designated Government-wide contract opportunities platform. The solicitation emphasizes electronic communication, with all inquiries directed to the designated points of contact, Ms. Holly Prinzel and Capt Shamika Woodruff, accessible via phone and email. The updated contract process seeks industry feedback on the revised PWS by October 3, 2014, with a specific note that workload related to the F-35 program is still under development and will be provided later. The contract falls under NAICS code 488190 and is managed by the Department of Defense agency located in Hampton, Virginia, with performance at Nellis AFB in Nevada. The solicitation and related materials are available online, underscoring a streamlined, centralized approach to managing this critical maintenance support contract for the Air Force’s 57th Maintenance Group. The transition to ACC AMIC aims to provide clearer oversight and improved integration in contracting activities related to maintenance services at Nellis AFB.

General Info

ACC AMIC assumes Nellis Backshop contract management, replacing 99 CONS, with updated solicitation and PWS.

Air Combat Command (ACC) Counter Small Unmanned Aircraft System (C-sUAS) as a Service
Solicitation # FA4890-261013
The Air Combat Command (ACC) is conducting market research via solicitation FA4890-261013 to identify industry capabilities for a Contractor-Owned, Contractor-Operated (COCO) Counter Small Unmanned Aircraft System (C-sUAS) as a Service. This initiative seeks a turn-key solution for the supply, operation, maintenance, modernization, and disposal of C-sUAS components to protect Department of the Air Force installations. The government envisions an initial prototype deployment at two Continental United States (CONUS) Air Force installations, with potential options to scale across additional ACC sites based on performance. Technical requirements for the service include a detection and tracking range between 3 and 5 miles for Group 1–2 sUAS, a neutralization rate of 95% to 98%, and operational uptime of 95% to 98%. The system must be capable of independent operation for up to 96 hours and integrate seamlessly with Base Defense Operations Centers, Wing Operations Centers, and Joint C2 frameworks. Compliance with the DAF Risk Management Framework, Anti-Tamper standards, and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification benchmarks is mandatory, alongside adherence to 10 U.S.C. § 130i authorities. Interested respondents must submit a capability statement not exceeding 20 pages by November 1, 2026. Submissions should be delivered in PDF format to Contracting Officer Timothy Overby and Contract Specialist Jennifer Judkins. The response must cover corporate experience from the last five years, technical feasibility, operational posture regarding legal authorities, cybersecurity architecture, and recommended commercial business models for pricing and mobilization.

Solicitation # FA489010062026
The 84th Radar Evaluation Squadron (84 RADES) Combined Support Services contract, solicitation FA489010062026, seeks a provider to deliver comprehensive management and skilled labor to support radar-centric planning, optimization, and evaluation at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The scope of work includes software sustainment for mission-critical applications, radar technical advisor and analyst services for complex sensor evaluations, information technology and cybersecurity support, and administrative travel coordination. The primary objective is to ensure the Warfighter has a responsive and sensitive integrated radar picture through technical guidance, test measurement, and system condition analysis. The anticipated award date is February 1, 2027, with a base performance period from May 1, 2027, to April 30, 2028, and four optional twelve-month extensions. Due to the sensitive nature of the mission, all contractor employees must be US citizens with at least a Secret security clearance, while specific roles such as Radar Technical Advisors and Senior Systems Engineers require Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearances and Special Access Program (SAP) read-ins.
