Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a noncompetitive procurement to Shah Software, Inc., for the purchase of NewGen annual licensing and support for a one (1) year term, in the amount of $8,491.00. This procurement is being made in accordance with Section 3-208(10) of the County’s Procurement Policy because the continued use of the existing NewGen software by the Social Services Department is mandated by the grantor, State of Florida Department of Commerce, as a compliance requirement in order to receive funding for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program Grant and is only reasonably available from Shah Software, Inc. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly. Contractors who believe that they can provide goods and/or services that are substantially and materially the same as those identified in the attached invoice must submit clear and convincing information to support a challenge the intended award. Challenges to this notice must be received no later than the Close Date of the Sole Source (SS) Project. After this date, an award will be made.
