The scope of work necessary under this request requires the vendor to provide web consultation, site creation, site design, template design, implementation services, training and testing for the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership. Design work will be required including general site layout, artwork development, and planning of the navigation scheme. In addition, SLEP wishes to consider hosting and on-going maintenance options for the newly developed website. This project will involve collaborating with SLEP staff to create a visually compelling site in order to foster communication with existing residents and prospective new residents looking to relocate to the Sarnia-Lambton area. There is a SLEP website that exists www.sarnialambton.on.ca with a section for new residents that contains basic relocation information, however, there is a need to create a dedicated user-friendly creative site with engaging content. Due to the diverse client base that will utilize the website: it is critical that the site meet the broad requirements of:Easy to use and navigate for all audiences to access information unique to their requirements,Visually appealing and creatively stands out among other community websites and reflects local community brandingEasily searchable and maximizes the Search Engine Optimization techniques, andEasily modified and maintained by SLEP staff. Once the site is completed it is expected that SLEP staff would be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of content, updating news and event information, etc. The creation of the website is anticipated to be developed utilizing a content management system that will allow SLEP staff to edit and add content to the site with ease and minimal training. Hosting options for the web site, tailored for its current traffic but also able to scale with growing use, is also requested. Some of the features and content found on SLEP’s current web site will be included or improved upon in the new website design. More detailed requirements for this project can be found in Appendix 1.0 of this Request for Proposal. Appendix 1.0 must be completed with all submissions.
