Next Generation Squad Weapons - Fire Control (NGSW-FC) Follow-on Production Award, Other Transaction Agreement

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey awarded a fixed amount Follow-on Production Other Transaction Agreement to Sheltered Wings, Inc., doing business as Vortex Optics. This agreement focuses on the Next Generation Squad Weapons - Fire Control (NGSW-FC), which is designed to replace the Close Combat Optic, Rifle Combat Optic, and Machine Gun Optic for the Close Combat Force. The NGSW-FC will serve as the primary fire control system for both the Next Generation Squad Weapons - Rifle and the Next Generation Squad Weapons - Automatic Rifle. Under this contract, the U.S. Government is authorized to procure fire controls, supporting accessories, spare parts, and repairs, while also receiving contractor support and engineering efforts. These capabilities are intended to support the National Defense Strategy, extending to other Department of Defense Services and potential Foreign Military Sales. The performance of this contract is based in Barneveld, Wisconsin.
