NFPA Compliant Occupational Health and Wellness Services

Cobb County is soliciting proposals under Project No. 27-7013 for comprehensive occupational health and wellness services for 727 sworn personnel within the Fire and Emergency Services Department. The primary objective is to establish an evidence-based medical program compliant with NFPA 1582 and 1583 standards. Base services include medical examinations and annual physical fitness core assessments, while optional services encompass athletic training for injury prevention and rehabilitation, mental health and behavioral wellness assessments, and medically managed wellness and fitness programming. The contract will be for a one-year term with two optional one-year renewals. Proposals must be submitted via the County's eProcurement portal by October 22, 2026. Award will be granted to the highest scoring responsive and responsible proposer based on a weighted evaluation of experience and performance, staffing, approach, cost, availability, financial stability, and local vendor presence. Selected vendors must maintain strict HIPAA and HITECH compliance regarding protected health information and provide commercial general liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate. Additionally, vendors must comply with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Cobb County is exempt from federal excise and Georgia sales taxes.
