NIH Transportation Management Branch (TMB): The TMB conducts NIH fleet management and freight forwarding operations from two locations on the NIH main campus in Bethesda, MD. The Fleet Management Section is in Building 12 and provides vehicle management, vehicle acquisition, vehicle rentals, and fuel management services. The Freight Forwarding Section is in Building 13 and provides in and outbound shipping and relocation services. TMB is dedicated to increasing efficiency and improving environmental performance to protect the planet and save taxpayer dollars and is a multi-year HHS Green Champion Award winner. TMB regularly exceeds legislative requirements to reduce petroleum gas usage and increase alternative fuel usage, leading the HHS on all metrics in accordance with Executive Order 14057, Planning for Federal Sustainability in the Next Decade. Our Vision is to deliver premier transportation management services through innovative business practices with an emphasis on continuous improvement. Having built a strong relationship with our NIH customers, we believe in building trust and communication between teams. The purpose is to find a vendor capable of providing for the installation of NIH Police Department's newly purchased 2022 Ford Police Interceptor vehicles that is requiring specialized equipment installation on Overhead Patrol Units, Overhead Marked Patrol Units + K9 Option, and Detective Unmarked Units for NIH government police vehicles.
