NII Large-Scale Fixed Systems (MEP & LEP)

Customs and Border Protection is seeking to procure and deploy Non-Intrusive Inspection systems, including Low-Energy Portals for smaller vehicles and Multi-Energy Portals for larger commercial vehicles, to enhance its ability to detect and interdict contraband such as weapons, explosives, illegal drugs, and currency. The systems are critical to CBP’s layered enforcement strategy and will be used to inspect a wide range of conveyances including privately owned vehicles, commercial vans, pickups, motorcycles, trailers, buses, recreational vehicles, and truck tractors with laden semitrailers. A five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract will be awarded to support sustained acquisition, installation, and maintenance of these fixed inspection systems nationwide. The procurement will be conducted through full and open competition under the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul, specifically aligned with NAICS code 334517, which covers manufacturing of other measuring and inspecting equipment. There is no set-aside for small businesses or other categories, and the contract is expected to support deployment across multiple locations without geographic restriction.
