The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Strategic Acquisition Center - Frederick, intends to negotiate and award a sole source, Firm-Fixed-Price contract to HurtVet, Inc., a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), for fire alarm and security system inspection, testing, preventive maintenance, emergency response and repair, and 24/7 central station monitoring services in support of the VA Quantico Information Technology Center (QITC), Buildings 5101 and 5107, Russell Road, Quantico, Virginia.


The resulting contract will include a base period of twelve (12) months, with four (4) twelve-month option periods, for a total potential period of performance not to exceed five (5) years.


This action is contemplated under the authority of 38 U.S.C. § 8127 and VAAR 819.7008, which authorizes VA contracting officers to restrict competition to, or set aside an acquisition for, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, and to make sole source awards to SDVOSBs when the applicable statutory and regulatory conditions are met.
