The Province is seeking responses for a standing arrangement to provide Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems services in support of wildfire management and suppression activities led by BC Wildfire Services and the Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship. These services are critical for wildfire response as well as mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery efforts, including prescribed burning and responses to other natural hazards. Respondents must offer Primary RPAS Services, which encompass Infrared Detection and high-resolution Ortho imaging, and may optionally propose to deliver Secondary RPAS Services including LiDAR, live project streaming, and aerial ignitions. The arrangement is non-binding and aims to establish a framework for rapid deployment of aerial capabilities during wildfire events and related operations. The solicitation, identified as BC225843, was posted on May 1, 2026, with responses due by May 29, 2026. The contract is administered by the BC Wildfire Service under the Government of Canada, and inquiries should be directed to the designated Contracting Authority at BCWS.ProcurementSupport@gov.bc.ca. Services are expected to be performed across British Columbia in support of wildfire operations, with no specific location restrictions outlined. While the solicitation is issued under federal procurement channels, the services directly serve provincial wildfire management mandates, and selected providers will be expected to operate reliably and effectively in dynamic, high-risk environmental conditions.
