The District of Summerland has announced its participation in the Kinetic Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), an established buying group designed for Broader Public Sector and MASH entities across Canada. This membership enables the District to leverage Kinetic’s cooperative contracts to procure a wide range of goods and services more efficiently and cost-effectively by combining purchasing power with other members. Kinetic GPO facilitates streamlined procurement processes for categories such as automotive and fleet products, building supplies, energy consulting, furniture, IT solutions, roofing supplies, school supplies, surplus auction services, tractors, and utility vehicles, among others. The notice clarifies that this communication is not a request for quotations but rather a compliance measure under the Canadian Free Trade Agreement, which requires public entities participating in buying groups to annually disclose this participation. Suppliers interested in providing goods or services through these cooperative contracts must follow the competitive solicitation process established by Kinetic GPO. Detailed information regarding the procurement procedures and vendor participation is available on Kinetic’s website. Any inquiries relating to this notification can be directed to the District’s procurement email. The notice was posted on January 12, 2026, and will remain open until February 12, 2026, serving as an advisory to the market about the District’s access to Kinetic’s purchasing arrangements but does not constitute a call for bids or proposals.
