The Fleet Readiness Center Southeast is seeking the procurement of a Nortec 700 portable Eddy Current Flaw Detector system and associated accessories on a firm-fixed-price basis. This equipment, which includes ultrasonic testing hardware, probes, scanners, and interface cables, is required to establish a standardized digital baseline for the Navy's Automate NDI with Machine Learning (ANIMAL) Project. The system is designed to integrate conventional and advanced Eddy Current Array capabilities while maintaining full backward compatibility with the legacy Nortec 600 fleet. Due to the specific technical requirements for delivery, validation, and calibration, the government intends to award this contract on a sole source basis to Evident Scientific MIS, Inc. The procurement is categorized into three strategic areas: emergent technology evaluation hardware, multi-use tooling and backward compatibility accessories, and critical ultrasonic testing replacements. Deliveries are scheduled between November 11, 2026, and December 29, 2026, with the place of performance and delivery located at the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast in Jacksonville, Florida. Acceptance is contingent upon the successful completion of Site Acceptance Testing and the provision of a Certificate of Conformance. All offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management, and electronic invoicing will be processed via Wide Area WorkFlow. Proposals are due by November 5, 2026, with the expected award date of November 10, 2026.
