North Carolina Department of Adult Correction

The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, through the Division of Engineering, Construction and Maintenance, is soliciting a single prime, lump sum contract for the replacement of obsolete conventional fire alarm systems in Dormitories D, E, F, and G at the NCCIW facility located at 1034 Bragg Street, Raleigh, NC. The project requires the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment to install new addressable fire alarm systems. General contractors must hold an Intermediate or Unlimited license classification per G.S. 87-1 and comply with North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 87, Article 1. Proposals must be submitted by 2:00 PM on November 19, 2026, and must include a bid security of 5 percent of the proposal via cash deposit, certified check, or bid bond. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for November 4, 2026, and failure to attend will result in disqualification. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds for 100 percent of the contract price and must execute the contract within 10 days of the award. Payment will be issued based on 95 percent of monthly estimates, with the final payment released upon completion and acceptance of the work.
