North Main Revitalization Plan RFP

The Town of Rocky Mount, Virginia is seeking qualified Architectural/Engineering firms to deliver comprehensive design, engineering, bidding, and construction administration services for the North Main Corridor Business District Revitalization Project, which is partially funded by an $801,533 2025 Community Development Block Grant from the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development, with additional funding from non-CDBG sources to support broader corridor improvements. The selected firm will be responsible for implementing a range of enhancements including façade upgrades for participating buildings, streetscape and pedestrian safety features, wayfinding systems, coordination of an industrial heritage mural, and integration with existing infrastructure, all within the North Main Street corridor. The firm must demonstrate multidisciplinary capability and a history of successful collaboration with public agencies and community stakeholders. The Town will work closely with the West Piedmont Planning District Commission, VDOT, property owners, and other key partners to ensure seamless project execution. Proposals must be submitted electronically by July 31, 2026, in response to solicitation number RFP-124157, which was posted on July 10, 2026.
