Amendment 1 - December 19 - Change the close date time to match the time on the document. The City of Fredericton is experiencing rapid growth, requiring new emergency services infrastructure. The planned fire station will improve response times and operational coverage, supporting one company of four platoons. The facility will be under 10,000 square feet, focused on operational functionality, and must comply with all applicable codes and standards, including biophilic design, sustainability, and resilience best practices. This issuance of this Notice of Intended Procurement (NOIP) is to inform potential suppliers of an upcoming opportunity for design-build services for a new fire station in the South West growth node. This NOIP is not a solicitation for binding proposals or bids. The information provided will help define requirements for a future Request for Proposal (RFP) or procurement process. The Local Government anticipates releasing the formal Design-Build RFP in Q2 2026. Interested firms are encouraged to begin considering potential design-build partnerships and to explore opportunities for assembling collaborative teams capable of successfully delivering this project. Firms are invited to reflect on their strengths, expertise, and possible collaborators in anticipation of the upcoming RFP.
