The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service plans to award a sole source, firm fixed-price purchase order to Pentair Aquatic Eco-Systems, Inc. for the supply of an automated fish feeding system and related accessories critical for broodstock management at Craig Brook National Fish Hatchery in Maine. The automated system, specifically the Arvo-Tec TD 2000 Feeder System and related equipment, will enhance feeding precision and reduce feed waste. Pentair is the sole U.S. distributor for Arvo-Tec products, which meet the specific requirements for rearing Atlantic salmon at different life stages and tank sizes, accommodating a range of pellet sizes and precise feed dosing with high accuracy. The contract includes a detailed list of equipment such as feeders, dosing drums, hoppers, spreaders, and controllers tailored to the hatchery’s operational needs. The feeders must function within existing tank specifications and support precise feed amounts with minimal waste. The announcement is not a request for competition, but other capable firms may submit capability statements within seven days for government consideration. The government retains discretion over whether to proceed without competition. All inquiries and responses are to be submitted in writing to the designated contact by the specified deadline.
