NOTICE OF INTENT FOR INTAGLIO PLATE GRINDERS


The Treasury Common Services Center (TCSC)-Acquisition Center intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract on behalf of the Office of Engraving for Intaglio Plate Grinders. The Intaglio Plate Grinders are essential to the platemaking process for United States (U.S.) currency and are used to grind, polish, and finish plates to specification. The contract will be awarded to Koenig & Bauer (K&B) Banknote Solutions in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(b) and will procure five (5) new Intaglio Plate Grinders that meet the technical specifications within the Statement of Work (SOW). Three (3) of the intaglio plate grinders will be placed at the Eastern Currency facility located in Washington, D.C. and two (2) will be placed at the Western Currency facility located in Fort Worth, Texas.



This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers/quotes/proposals. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information, or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
