Notice of Intent for Sole Source Award for Orthopedic and Spinal Implants

Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Regional Health Contracting Office-Pacific (Joint Base Lewis-McChord Health Contracting Branch), Lacey, WA, intends to issue a sole source award to Academy Medical Inc in the estimated amount of $75,000.00 to purchase Orthopedic and Spinal Implants/Instruments for surgery that will be used in patient specific surgeries located in the Department of Anesthesia and Operative Service at Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC), JBLM, Tacoma, WA. Prior to the surgery, the surgeon shall make the determination that these products or other branded products will best meet the individual patients medical needs/requirements. All products must be FDA approved. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. This notice is not a request for quote/proposal and no solicitation will be issued. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capabilities and specifications.
