THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. The Department of Energy (DOE) intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price award to a single source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i)(ii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, to American Institute of Physics (AIP). The incumbent contractor shall provide subscription renewal services to the DOE?s Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI). The proposed contract is 1/1/18 through 12/31/18. DOE intends to award this requirement as a sole source to the AIP. AIP is the sole publisher for the journals that are required by OSTI. The required list of journals are as follows: AIP Journals: AIP Select (online w/extended backfiles) Journal of Physical and Chemical Reference Data (JPCRD) Applied Physics Reviews Low Temperature Physics Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy Biomicrofluidics Conference Proceedings Journal of Laser Applications Chinese Journal of Chemical Physics Member Society Journals: American Journal Physics (online only) Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology A&B/Surface Science Spectra (online with extended backfiles) The Physics Teacher Journal of the Acoustical Society of America Journal of Rheology This requirement is for subscription renewal of existing approved/required journals and access to the AIP Member Society Journals. Based on market research, only AIP subscriptions allows access to the AIP extended backfiles of journals as well as the Member Society Journals published by AIP.
